Beneficiaries
Canada’s Ultimate 50/50 is a fundraising initiative that extends the legacy of the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship beyond the tournament. The program supports:
I. Growth and Retention
Expanding hockey participation and keeping players engaged with the sport long-term is of the upmost importance to Hockey Canada and its Members. Proceeds towards growth and retention will include introductory hockey programming, equipment donation and skill development, as well as opportunities to increase access for underrepresented groups.
II. Women’s and Girls’ Hockey
Increasing opportunities for women and girls in hockey will be realized by funding initiatives that promote female participation, leadership and development, including with players, coaches and officials

III. Making Hockey Safer
With a focus on promoting a culture of respect and safety for hockey participants, proceeds will fund initiatives that promote safe play, injury prevention and mental health resources, in addition to educational programs.
